"Everything about the German Shepherd expresses strength, agility, and complete
alertness. The ideal dog is stamped with a look of quality and nobility, difficult
to define, but unmistakable when present. A good part of the Shepherd essence lies
in its ability to work. Sound and efficient movement is an essential characteristic.
The Shepherd gait, effortless and rhythmic, reflects the dogs power and dignity.
The German Shepherd is, at heart, a friendly dog, but it will always want to make
sure strangers have a right to enter its home before admittance is granted. Those who
appear not to have entry rights are challenged by a formidable protector. Looks
alone make him an imposing foe, males usually stand 24 to 26 inches at the shoulder.
Few dogs are more intelligent or trainable than the well bred German Shepherd."
We breed puppies that will grow to be of superior temperament
& become loving, loyal members of our customers homes. They have been well socialised
from birth with careful handling by experienced staff. You can view parents
with excellent temperaments. . Pups have been vaccinated, micro chipped, and have been
examined by a qualified veterinarian, and come with an owners manual, lifetime after sales
service, and discounted training for all our clients.
We believe that character and temperament
are the most important considerations in German Shepherds.
This is how someone once described a German
Shepherd
" His character’ was on a par with his exterior qualities; marvellous in his obedient fidelity to his master, and above all else, the straightforward nature of a gentleman with a boundless zest for lining. Although untrained in puppyhood, nevertheless obedient to the slightest nod when at his masters side; but when left to himself, the maddest rascal, the wildest ruffian and incorrigible provoker of strife, Never idle, always on the go; well disposed to harmless people, but no cringer, mad about children and always in love…. He was in heaven when someone was occupied with him and was then the most tractable of dogs."
and another
" The essence of the German shepherd dog as an individual breed is based on type and temperament. Without type, a dog is not fit to be classified as a German shepherd. With out temperament, a German shepherd is not classified as a dog."
At
Tuxzat Kennels, temperament has made our shepherds special, if we lose the correct temperament whatever we are left with WILL NOT be a German shepherd. In Germany no dog is shown without training to prove that he possesses the necessary intelligence and hardness, unfortunately this is not the case here. We should never lose sight of the ideal and that, no matter how beautiful, without the proper temperament a shepherd is useless.We refuse to own a dog incapable of working, or of being TRUSTED with
strangers, with friends, or most importantly – with our children.
Our dogs are so reliable they are often handled by our children even when they are
working. We believe that is intelligence and good character.
We welcome visitors to handle our dogs.
At Tuxzat Kennels our dogs must THINK while they are working. The dogs must practice DISCRIMINATION, and undiscriminating aggression is forbidden. This throws a great deal of responsibility onto to the dogs, and obviously a great many dogs fail because they can not accept this.
The temperament we are breeding for –
and above all, the dog must be capable of being all things to all men: a
natural guard, a household pet, a show dog, a guide, a working dog in any
field……….. AND A FRIEND!

Before considering obtaining a pup , please take a few moments to read the below
info.
It is our recommendation that clients undertake obedience training with us.
The welfare of our puppies is the main concern to us. An untrained dog is not a
pleasure to own.
Training involves just 1 course, which goes for 7 days full time live in for the pup once
they obtain the age of
6 months, anytime up to about 9 months old.
Clients drop the pup off one day and pick them up a week later and its all done.
Easy as that.
You have a great dog for life.
All our pups and our clients are entitled to great discounts when training with us.
Also it is a condition of the sale that our client agrees to undertake obedience training
